KAIN ‘All My Heroes’

On Friday 22nd May El Rancho Records release ‘All My Heroes’, a newly recorded acoustic version of the song by long gone and much loved Glasgow band KAIN. The track was recorded in April, in isolation and in three locations by founding members Ian Crawford (Vocals) and Jon Yuill (Guitar) and Gordon Wyper (Trumpet). What began as a long distance catch up (Sweden-Scotland) on Facebook led to a collective feeling that this song, a live favourite, had a certain resonance, one which people may take some strength from in these difficult times.

This is the second single to ever be released by the band who had a notorious run on the Scottish music scene in the early 2000’s. After the release of their first single ‘Baby Am Amazed’ KAIN went on to sign a major record deal with Warner Brothers only to find every ill fated music industry cliche awaiting them! ‘All My Heroes’ will be available from the El Rancho’s Bandcamp https://elranchorecords.bandcamp.com/.

All money raised from the single will go directly to the Glasgow NW Food Bank https://glasgownw.foodbank.org.uk/about/.

Playlist: ‘Let’s Just Call It Country Music’

In isolation we’re all listening to music, some more than ever as time stands still. Many people are highlighting the tracks, albums, artists that made impressions on them and are looking back to Halcyon Days. Here at El Rancho it’s as much about brand new music as the good stuff from back in the day. We’ve got a variety of playlists dropping on Spotify and Mixcloud which will cover time and genres like you might not have imagined.

First up… ‘Let’s Just Call It Country Music’ a ride through recent favourites and some from a few years back, all tied up with a bit of a country feel. Just the way we like it! Check it out below!

POP OUT TO THE POP UP…

What began as a POP UP has turned into a party! El Rancho can now be found by the bar at Bloc Pop Up on the Finneston strip playing hot new tracks, loose jams, kick ass screamers, honky tonk angels and whatever seems to fit the Friday night crowd.

On the 1st Friday of the month discover your new fav tracks and hear old favourites from 9pm – join us for drinks and music.
