30 Tracks from 23

It’s all different down on the ranch, our best of list isn’t shared around a team, our favourite tracks are not popularised through single releases, Spotify playlists, or backhanders from major labels (we know you buy those top spots!), it’s just an honest wee list of the tracks that hit, mostly hidden in albums. I say that, but a few days working from home with 6Music on meant my ears were ambushed by those English Teacher and The Goa Express tracks!

Listen to the tracks in the playlist below and go seek out the tracks and support the artists if you can!

The Best of 2023… a digestible list.

In no particular order, these were the records that I couldn’t get enough of in 2023. New artists and some old discoveries reissued this year - these make the same list in my book.

The honourable mention list is really good too! These albums just came out in the past month or so and haven’t sunk in yet, they were played a lot and enjoyed, but didn’t quite grip the speakers in the obsessive way the list above did. Saying that, these were great and more than worth checking out…
